Prof. Obafemi Ajibola P.hD., MS., B.Sc., D. Sc (honoris causa) is the Managing Director/CEO of New Nigeria Foundation (NNF), a non-governmental organization with a vision to achieve sustainable socio-economic development of Nigerian communities through public/private partnerships. Prof. Ajibola holds a first class degree from the University of Ife; a doctorate degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and was awarded Honorary Doctor of Science by Osun State University, Osogbo. He has extensive administrative, research, teaching and consultancy experience.
Prior to his work with NNF, Prof. Femi AJIBOLA held several academic and administrative positions in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State including Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration).
Prof. Ajibola is a Registered Engineer, Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE) and has served as consultant to several national and international development organizations.
Prof. Ajibola was appointed a member of the Governing Council of the Osun State University, Osogbo in 2012 and later served as the Pro Chancellor/Chairman from 2015 to 2016. He currently serves as the Chairman, Board of Directors of the Centre for Research and Development (CERAD), Federal University of Technology, Akure; Member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) and Chairman of several development oriented committees and boards.
